About our Campaign San Francisco Sickle Cell Anemia Awareness (SCAASF) is making a significant impact in the Bay Area by supporting communities affected by Sickle Cell disease through various programs that educate, empower, and uplift. Your support will help strengthen key initiatives, such as the Advocacy & Empowerment Program—an annual series of workshops led by healthcare experts and community leaders that teach patients and caregivers how to navigate the healthcare system, advocate for proper treatment, and build resilience. Additionally, funds will expand the Client Assistance Program for crisis support, the Educational Outreach Program to raise awareness about Sickle Cell and treatment options. Contributions will also sustain support gatherings, foster peer mentorship, and fund public events such as the World Sickle Cell Day Health Fair and the KMJ Health & Wellness Expo, connecting families with vital resources and raising visibility across the region. These programs do more than provide services—they foster community, break down health barriers, and amplify the voices of an often-overlooked population.
